Meet Jerome
Jerome's life, whether professionally or personally, has circled around two spheres: the planet and the football.
He begins the first half of his career as a Diplomat, successively occupying positions around the world at French embassies in Oman, Cuba, the USA and Brazil.
His passion for the beautiful game however, takes centre stage when he is appointed Diplomatic Adviser and Chief of Protocol of the French organising committee for the France 1998 World Cup.
Jerome shortly after joins FIFA, and during 11 years occupies senior roles as Adviser to the President, Deputy General Secretary and Director for International Relations. In 2016, he runs for the FIFA presidential election on a campaign of reform.
He then turns his career towards football consultancy, providing guidance to clubs, leagues and governments. He notably co-manages the French second tier Clermont Foot 63 to its first-ever historical promotion to Ligue 1.
Alongside his activities as Speaker, Jerome also works in friendly match and training camp organisation for national teams and clubs.

Football & the world
Since its early years in the 19th century, the sport of football played a crucial role between countries and in regional issues. After the creation by FIFA of the World Cup in 1930 till the recent decisions for the 2030 and 2034 editions, its political and diplomatic importance is second to none.
Modern day sports governance
In its 120 years of existence, FIFA has not been immune of controversies but its impact has been strategic to make football universal. However, today's challenges line up such as growing imbalances, state involvement and globalisation of investments.
Football & identity
No other sport exemplifies the local, regional, national and international identity of its stakeholders, clubs, national teams, tactical styles, global influences.
